Minutes of the December 18, 2004 Meeting
Held at the Seattle Yacht Club
In lieu of a regular December meeting, the Seattle Base of USSVI joined with 
Lockwood Chapter of Submarine Veterans of World War II for the their second 
annual joint Christmas Lunch.  The event was attended by 47 submarine veterans 
(18 WWII vets and 29 post-WWII vets) and 48 guests and WWII Ladies Auxiliary 
members.
In addition Joe and Barbara Baer attended for the second year as co-sponsors 
along with Joe’s employer Bernstein Investment Research and Management 
(a division of Alliance Capital).
The event began at 11:00 with refreshments in the Ward Room, proceeded to a
three-course banquet in the Fireside Room and culminated in a champagne toast 
and reminiscences by World War II veterans and others about their experiences 
during Christmas of 1944.
The luncheon adjourned approximately 3:00 PM with a resolution for USSVI and 
WWII Subvets to meet again in December 2005.
