REPORTS: Christmas Lunch review: All attendees present were very complementary and considered it a excellent experience. Treasurers Report: Jim Harper: Previous Balance: 9,890.57, Current Balance $ 10,039.00 Major outstanding bills for Christmas Lunch approx $ 3,500.00 Storekeeper Report: Bill Giese: $ 315.00 intake last month. New magnetic subvet ribbons soon to be available. Membership Report: Jim Harper: 139 members total, all categories. Foxtrot Report: Dave Goodson: Status of work parties and restoration work in progress. OLD BUSINESS Auburn Veterans Parade: Discussion by participants, excellent reception and highly recommended for all to participate in next year. Motion was made and passed to create Base membership cards for both Annual and Life Base members in addition to the National membership cards the members receive. Good of the Order Pat Householder: Charitable Foundation overview. The CF is contributing $ 1,000.00 to the Ashley Scholarship fund in memory of MM2(SS) Joe Ashley who was killed in the USS San Francisco grounding. Since the Convention last September, Thirty six Seattle Base members have contributed $1,628.00 to the CF. He pointed out the national goal is just 10.00 per member per year and encouraged members to contribute if they could. Base Chaplain will send an official letter of condolence to parents of Joseph Ashley MM 2(SS) of behalf of the Seattle Base. Don Smith recommended Karl Rosenkranz YN1(SS) of Bremerton Base as a speaker to discuss his tour in Iraq.
